Dear people of Peace Lutheran Church and our neighbors,
In light of the widespread effort to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, Peace Lutheran Church has suspended all congregational activities that involve groups, to include public worship.
In order to abide by the governor’s orders, Sara Fowler, the congregation’s Office Administrator, and I will not be in the office, but will continue to be available at firstname.lastname@example.org
Public crises like the outbreak of coronavirus can define the character of a community. The temporary cancellation of church activities can either cause us to withdraw from each other or to pull together in new and creative ways. Thank you for responding to current events with faith and courage, and bear in mind that nothing, neither things present nor things to come, can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39)!
Come worship with us!
Join us this Sunday on Facebook Live for our online service. Like us today on Facebook!
We hope worship at Peace is welcoming and meaningful. Please linger afterward for refreshments, fellowship, and opportunities for formation in the Gathering Area. If you are worshiping with us for the first time, please tell us more about yourself by filling out a blue visitor welcome card and placing it in the offering plate.
Holy Communion is celebrated every Sunday as we come together to be fed so we can be strengthened for our work in the world. The atmosphere is casual – feel free to come as you are. A staffed Nursery is available during all services.
Our entrance is located on the corner of 3rd St. E. and E. Pioneer Ave. in downtown Puyallup. Street parking is available, as well as a City of Puyallup lot across the street.
Look for the bright red door!
Worship is not a spectator sport. In fact, the word “liturgy” means “the work of the people.”
There are many ways to get involved. Each week ushers, scripture readers, communion servers, worship assistants and others contribute to worship.
