I’m New Here
Welcome!!!
We are delighted that you have chosen to worship with us. We hope you find our worship meaningful and enriching. Please linger afterwards for some conversation and refreshment in our Gathering Space. If you are worshipping with us for the first time, please fill out a blue card and place it in the offering plate.
Considering joining us for worship? Here are some common questions!
Where are we located?
Peace Lutheran is located at 214 E Pioneer Ave, Puyallup, WA 98372. Click on the Location and Direction link in the top right corner of this page for directions and a map.
What time does worship start?
Sunday services are at 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. There is an Adult Education hour between services (directly following the important-to-Lutherans “coffee and goodies” after the first worship service ends). During the school year, we offer Sunday School. A Nursery is available from 8am until noon.
What should I wear?
There is no dress code, and people are comfortable in anything from jeans and a t-shirt to a suit and tie.
What is the worship style?
Our worship style varies from Classic Organ to piano-led worship to a contemporary group including guitars, brass, flute, piano, bass and several vocalists. We rotate our style of worship partly in an effort to maintain a singular church family. Check here for the worship schedule and further explanation.
What about my children?
As was mentioned above, there is daycare available on Sunday mornings as well as seasonally on Wednesday evenings during Peace Choir and Confirmation. We have an active Youth group for both Jr High and High School aged young adults. Check out our activities wall in the Gathering Space! Bill Haines works very hard to coordinate our Youth group, and we love him for it!
What about weddings?
Yes, we are the “white church on the corner of Pioneer and 3rd,” so we receive countless requests for the use of our space for marriage ceremonies. Click here for a link to Non-Member wedding information.
Our Mission Statement
We, the people of God at Peace Lutheran Church, seek to:
LEARN of God and the world through study of the revealing Word;
SHARE of our selves, our time, and our possessions;
CARE for others and the creation God has given us;
TELL of God’s love, promises and purpose.
We do this as we commit ourselves to God, asking for God’s help and blessing
